Happens every time. I always tell them "next time i come i'll pay you back with the same candies" and they respond that they dont accept candies for payment. So why should I accepted them for change?

That used to happen in Spain, sometimes instead of little coins of 1 or 2 pesetas they gave you candy. My dad tells me a story that a guy saved all those candy that the supermarket gave him, until one day he went to do the weekly shopping and tried to pay them with their own candy. The store at first denied it, but he speaked to the manager and told him that if that was worth money for them, it was also worth for him. They finally accepted the candy as payment.

If it was here in Portugal the costumer would either A. File a complaint with the employee's name or B. Threatening to call the police because you're disrespecting the costumer since the costumer paid in cash, it's their right to get cash back, change in seeds would be considered a scam or stealing. Yeah people here aren't nice when it comes to that..
